Memoir of Elon Musk: His Life in South Africa Among the Jakaranda Trees of Pretoria and His Fondness For Rooibos
Where we are born has profound influence. From birth to a point that Elon Musk was a young university student, he was a South African. The fact that this aspect of his life is often glossed over because it speaks about Africa is tragedy. Elon Musk was born and raised in Pretoria, the capital city of South Africa. He was born not far from where I am as I write this memoir about him. I am here in Pretoria, a walking distance to University of Pretoria, the university he attended before emigrating to Canada and United States of America.

What is a a memoir? Memoirs comes in all shapes and sizes but there have one thing is common. To focus on one aspect of a person, with the exclusion of the other aspects of that person's life.
Yes, memoirs comes in various shapes and sizes. This is tiktok memoir on Elon Musk. You know what is a tiktok content? Powerful but presented with few seconds or a minute.
I expect you to consume this knowledge within 30 minutes or less. We need more of such content today. Today many people's lives are in a rocket speed and do not have time to find their ways and meanings in complex long winded rumbling books.
We may like or hate the Twitter platform. But Twitter has been so powerful in creating a sane society. That is the remarkable thing about Twitter. It is unique and unlike other platforms. A sane society is a good relations society where people respect each other and discuss and debate issues in a civil and gently loving manner. If you are twisted and vulgar on the Twitter platform you got your account suspended and bared from the conversations. Twitter is very good at this. It is not like Facebook and other platforms. Facebook and other platforms like Instagram and so on are lax and you can pretty much abuse people and get on with it. These platforms are very toxic and destructive.
As far as human experience is our guide, most normal human beings desire to be treated as dignified by their fellow human beings. Deep down most people feel unimportant and want their fellow human beings to treat them as if they are important.
If you want other people to love and respect you, then love and respect other people, for as you do unto others they are more likely to do to you. If you love other people, the chances are that they would love and respect you in return, and if you hate other people, the chances are that they would hate you in return.
Giving is receiving; what you give is what is given to you. Love begets love and hate begets hate.
Criminals take advantage of the weak and vulnerable. These cowards abuse children, physically and sexually. The salient point is that in the real world we all have the capacity to harm other people, if we choose to. We also have the capacity to help and love other people, if we choose to. The critical variable here is choice: to do good or evil?
The principal aim of Twitter is not so much about numbers, although its subscribers have crossed the billion mark. It is about the building of a peaceful, gentle and sweet virtual space where modern universal people across the world can engage with one another in a very cool social way. It is a place where you can find friends, establish long term friendships, love and long term love and marriage.
Thinking about Twitter space I am reminded of Lionel Ritchie song called I am Easy Like Sunday Morning. True indeed to the fact. Twitter is so Easy and Cool Like Sunday Morning.
As we all know, there has been new developments on Twitter and those developments has to major shake up of the platform.
Big development being the fact that Elon Musk is now the new owner of Twitter. He has bought the platform and is very happy with that transaction. He is alive and well and invigorated engaging ordinary people along the way on the Twitter platform.
What you do not know is that Elon Musk is naturally ordinary and simple. And I would like the bring forth that one quality in him for you.
Elon Musk is bringing a cool hand to Twitter. While Twitter was good in blocking potentially hostile people and hostile conversations, yet it did so in a very ruthless manner. Perhaps the genius of Elon Musk was to address this situation in a very smart way. For example you may be typing a conversation with the view of sharing it on the Twitter platform and you are not aware that this may be potentily toxic to the people. After typing and then hitting the send button Twitter will hold you on and ask you to reconsider what you said.
Now I cannot wholly attribute this innovation to Elon Musk completely. The reason is I have seen the same innovation recently in Facebook. All I can say is that before Elon Musk took over the Twitter platform this feature was not there.
I am a Bushman from Africa and I like talking with people from various backgrounds. I certainly feels more at home, peaceful and happy when I am with folks from diverse races. If I find myself in a room with whites, blacks, Chinese etc I feel very comfortable, but if I am in a room full of only Bushmanpeople, I feel bored and antsy and get out. I need all humanity to feel truly joined, unified and complete hence peaceful and happy.
Nature is such a wonder. Great power and supreme intelligence lies in the simple and simplicity. We love noise and mighty great big things. That is how in our lost connection with our inner self have become.
Bit it is not on the great mighty big things that greatness is born.
Simple relaxed life connects with the power within you. Elon Musk grew up in Pretoria among the great Jacaranda trees. Jacaranda trees are simple trees but in their strength during spring there are extraordinary beautiful in the blossom, to the point that Pretoria is simply called the Jacaranda city.
Pretoria is a fairly simple Dutch condervative city. It is unlike the high noise and bustling Johannesburg. It is simple and not swanky rich like Cape Town city at the coast.
It is within this relative simplicity and under the quiet shades of the peacefil Jacaranda trees that Elon Musk was developed. What is the dominant feature among the people of Jacaranda city? It is that traditional conservative traditional Dutch spirit. And the traditional flair is expressed in many and various ways. One of the main ways is conversations around the rooibos tea.
Do you know rooibos tea?
The Rooibos Tea: Goodness, Healing, Health and Wellness Comes Naturally. The Ancient History of Rooibos Tea For Today's Health And Natural Healing For All
The people who discovered rooibos tea and apply it in their lives for thousands of years are the Bushman. I am a Bushman. My blood is pure Bushman.
First you have to understand what the word rooibos mean. Rooibos means us the Bushman. It is a term applied to us by the White man when he entered Africa and settled with us. The White man, the Dutch people. Rooibos tea is in reference to us the Bushman race.
The word rooibos us comprised of two words. The rooi which means red and the bos which means bush.
The skin complexion of the Bushman race in Africa is not black but red pale, much more lighter. And the Bushman race lives in the bushes, they are not settled in communities but roam the bushes hunting and with no permanent settlement.
The history of my own people, the Bushman is important today in this worldwide modern health culture movement.
Health is normal and harmonious vibration of the elements and forces composing the human entity on the physical, mental, moral and spiritual planes of being, in conformity with the constructive principle of Nature applied to individual life.
Sound health is the foundation of happiness, joy and pleasure. If you are sickly person or in pain you cannot enjoy life. You cannot enjoy the pleasures of the body.
This is the story, history and application of rooibos tea, both as a good health drink and as a powerful natural skin lotion.
The bloom of opening flowers, unsullied beauty,
Softness and sweetest innocence she wears,
And looks like Nature in the world's first Spring.
—Rowe.
The indigenous Rooibos plant (Aspalathus linearis), has received praise, admired and celebrated across the world for its delicious taste and proven powerful natural good health benefits.
Nelson Mandela is of Xhosa ethnic group in South Africa. The Xhoa live by the coastal region of South Africa and so they were well acquainted with Europeans both during the slave trade and colonial times. Nelson Mandela or the Xhosa people at large were exposed to White people and their ways of life. To use a word that you may understand, they were the most civilized Africans. They were in one an in tune with White people. Now you can see why the White government did no kill Nelson Mandela, they only arrested him. The Whites knew that by and by the Black people because they are now too numerous they will eventually rule. So they saw in Nelson Mandela a person that there can hand power to. Something that eventually happened.
Now it is clear to you that South Africa is not a homogenous country. It is not wholly African though it is in Africa. Even it's character and consciousness is not wholly African.
Nelson Mandela was sentenced to life imprisonment on 12 June 1964. He remained on Robben Island until the end of March 1982 after which he was transferred to Pollsmoor Prison on the mainland where he was living in posh luxury like a king.
